Recharge the right way
If it is just low, we say so. If it will leak out again next week, we say that too.
Compressor, condenser, and clutch
Noisy clutch, no engagement, or metal in the system. We quote the whole job, not half of it.
Heat and blend doors
Sometimes it is not refrigerant. A stuck blend door or a heater core will fool you. We test before we sell A/C parts.

Low charge, a failed compressor, or a blend door stuck on heat. The gauge set tells us which in the first visit.

Classic leak. Dye and a pressure test beat three recharges in one summer.
Musty smell when A/C kicks on
Evaporator growth or a clogged drain. Unpleasant, not usually dangerous, and cheaper if you do not wait until the drain soaks the carpet.
Noise when the A/C button is pressed
Clutch, compressor bearings, or a belt. Shut it off and call before the compressor eats itself.

FAQ — A/CCan you just recharge it?
If the system is tight, yes. If it is leaking, a recharge is a rental, not a repair. We will not take your money to put gas in a hole.
How fast can you look at it?
Most A/C diagnoses are same-day in Union. Summer weeks get busy, so call and we will hold a bay.
Do you work on hybrids and newer cars?
Yes. Newer systems need the right refrigerant and the right machine. Tell us the year, make, and model when you call.
What if I am coming from Elizabeth?
The shop sits on the Union and Elizabeth line. You are often closer to us than to a shop deeper in the city.
